I recently turned 18 last July and wanted to travel across all of Europe and visit as many countries as possible this summer. I found the best and most interesting way of doing this is a combination of a roadtrip + a group of strangers. Unfortunately, I don't have a driving license, hence I can't drive, and therefore need help and a group to come with me. I wanted to start in the UK and finish in Turkey. Preferably if somebody is my age. I'm male and don't mind about gender. If you have any concerns/questions or if you're interested in this, comment down below. P.s. I can speak both russian and English

The easier way to do Europe is by bus or train, as a lot of the sights are the cities and they are well connected, then stay in hostels where you'll meet other travellers.

That way you don't need to find strangers to drive you, at the risk ofnot getting along and not continuing the trip.plus you avoid the problem of a car being an expensive hassle in much of Europe.

Even if you had a license you might not be able to rent a car at your age.

Did you get a passport yet?

Have you figured out how to manage your spending money? If it is obvious you have your pockets stuffed with cash - you could become a target for a thief! DO NOT make it obvious that you have a lot of money with you!!! Do not travel with a single debit or credit card. One of your "new friends" could steal it from you or you lose it or damage the card making it useless.

Buses and trains will work. Why get in a vehicle with someone who is a total stranger with everything you have and then drive through remote locations, etc. (If you do ride with a total stranger - look in the back to see if he has a shovel to bury your body!)

Have fun.

Depending on your Nationality it could also be that you need a Visa.

I'd be wary of traveling with people you didn't know. And even if you did know them it could be problematic, especially if their interests and outlook on life doesn't mesh with yours. Don't be afraid to go solo. It could be an enlightening and rewarding experience.

I did extensive travel across Europe by myself - quite a long time ago and when I was a little older and a female, but I agree with AndyF that I would travel by train and not by car. You might possibly be able to get a bus tour that did what you wanted (there is a very old movie the title of which is "if it's Tuesday, this must be Belgium") or you might get a cruise that starts in England and goes to Greece. But I think it would be more fun to do it on your own, provided you have the funds and a passport.

I'm glad to hear that you're excited about exploring Europe! I recommend joining travel forums or social media groups to connect with others who share your interest in a group road trip. When reaching out to potential travel companions, highlight your language skills and desire to travel with others in your age range. Keep in mind that safety should always be a top priority, so exercise caution when connecting with people online. Start your journey from the UK and travel towards Turkey.
