Hello all,
I was just reading up on South America for my trip and found out that the border between Venezuela and Guyana is closed. Has anyone ever done this trip?? Do i have to get a plane across, or go through Trinidad? I would love to go to Guyana via Venezuela but how else is this possible without spending tons??

Overland crossings can be made to/from Brazil at the Lethem-Bomfin crossing point, but the border with Venezuela is closed. A passenger ferry crosses the Courantyne River at Corriverton (Springlands) to the Surinamese town of Nieuw Nickerie.
