Hello there,

We‘re Lena, Oliver and our little dog Filou. We live as digital nomads and are looking for a low-budget but cozy accommodation in Lapland or Northern Norway for November and December, ideally until the first week of January 2025. Staying in one place for a month and then moving at the end of November would be great – if there’s an option to move to. 😉

Our budget would be roughly EUR 600/month.

Do you have any ideas? We‘d love to hear about them!

PS: We‘re passionate creatives who love to create digital content. We create video room tours and other short clips for social media as well as high-quality and atmospheric photo sets. We are open to creative collaborations and would be delighted to offer our photography and videography services in exchange for accommodations. If you're interested in working together to capture stunning visuals while providing a place to stay, we'd love to hear from you, too!

Warm regards
Lena & Oliver

I assume you know that Norway's currency is the krone, not the euro? Norway is part of the Schengen Zone but it's not in the EU. It's also an expensive country:

600 euro per month (about 7000NK) is a pretty low budget for accomm in many/most EU/EEA countries. I suggest you start by looking at Norwegian Airb&bs.

You should also ensure your dog meets the requirements for entering Norway:

You can see AirBNB, Booking.com etc but winter is the high-season so the prices are high and accommodations in demand..Finland is expensive country too, I don't know if you can get fully furnished (beds, linens, kitchen-gear...) in 600 euros..
Sorry to be bearer of bad news. And I also hope that I am wrong and you can find something :)

The OP appears to be from Finland, and well travelled across Sweden, Norway and Finland.

Thanks for your answers!

We’re from Germany, actually. :) And yes, we have spent the last months traveling Sweden and Finland. Last year we have been to Norway, too, and we know it’s not exactly cheap. Right now, we’re renting a house in the middle of the Finnish forests for under EUR 400/months. It’s old but has heat, electricity, a sauna and tap water (most of the days :D). So it’s possible here at least.
