How can I just show the trips I took in one year, like 2023? I can either see all trips for the last 10 years or one single entry. I would like to see what trips I took by year.

Where are you looking? On your map or at your blogs?
I try to have all the trips I have taken in a single year in a different color on my map. So all the trips in say 2013 would be in light blue, and all the trips in 2014 would be in dark green etc.
If I am looking at my blogs, I do each trip as a separate blog and I have the year in the title. Unfortunately I didn't actually do the blogs in the order they occurred - so the first one I did was 2002 and the next one was 2017 so they aren't in chronological order.
But if you have all your trips in one huge blog, you can separate them by year. If you want to do that, I can give you directions.

I would like to see all my 2024 only trips. I don't do the blogs, so just on the map I would like to see what i did this year only.
I don't know any way to combine several maps, other than putting thetrips all on one map. I frequently combine trips on my blog and they are combined on my map as well. I just go back to the home location after each section and start there again

This is currently not supported by the system. When Peter (the admin) sees this, he might like the idea enough to add it to his backlog of features to work on (so thanks for asking!) but I suspect it won't be high priority, so it might not show up anytime soon even so. (Also there are tricky considerations around edge cases like trips around NYE, multi-year trips (I started here on a backpacking a trip which lasted from 2003 through 2005), etc.)
Thank y'all for your input, I'm still learning how this works. I started putting in last year's trips and saved it to my non-travel blog as a fantastic recap of travels for the year. I will probably delete all prior year trips so I can do the same for this year's end. I do love the look of the travel map, so I'll keep using it. Hopefully when Peter gets a chance to do the update when he can, I'll go back and add them back in again.
