Europe is a continent of some 10 million square kilometers with a population of some 750 million people (depending on the exact definition). As with any continent, the things to see and do are near endless. To get somewhat useful suggestions, please give us just a little bit of guidance as to what you're looking for - nature, culture, history? adventure activities? partying? relaxing? - what time of the year, what type of budget, and maybe where you're from or what you've seen previously and enjoyed.

Good info in post 2.

Millions of tourists have traveled alone in "Europe" over the years. You have to narrow down where you go to first. Europe - lots of places to visit!!

Below is copied from a quick Google type search:

OECD Europe countries
Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.

Where you go is up to you! The time of year will determine if you are swimming at a beach or skiing down a mountain.

Your budget will determine what price you can afford for hotel rooms. Also if you are eating in an expensive restaurant or making a sandwich from stuff you get from a market.

Cost of your flights will depend on where you fly from. Also if high season prices apply, flying coach or first class, etc.

What interests you? Swimming, exploring, history, nightlife, running from the police?

Where you flying from? How much time do you have? Got a passport? Got enough money to pay for everything? Can you take the time off from work? Short trip? Long trip?

Come on back and fill in some of the blanks.

I don't know what 'OECD' is but there are:

27 European countries in the EU (European Union)

29 European countries in the Schengen Zone (many...but not all...are also in the EU)

and 44 countries in the continent of Europe!

I assume you are a man since you haven't said (and probably from North America), but I can't tell what your travel style is, and I also don't know your budget or the time frame for the trip. How much have you traveled in your home country? Are you going to want to lie on the beach, go to nightclubs or hike in the Alps?

I can't recommend anything for someone I don't know anything about. My first trip to Europe was in 1950 with my family (I was 12). We traveled to Europe on a ship, traveled mostly by train from city to city for 2 months, and visited Belgium, the Nethrlands, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, England, and Scotland.

I could be wrong, but I am going to assume you are male and over 21.

Come on back. It is okay to reply to questions, that is how things are done on forums.

What do you want to do? Fry yourself on a beach? Visit historical places? Check out the nightlife somewhere?

Got a passport?

Got debit cards, credit cards and sufficient time from work to take off for a while?

Work up a daily budget for hotels, food and miscellaneous daily spending. How much for long distance travel depends where you begin from. Flying into and out of the same city round trip, for me, is usually cheaper than buying two one way flights.

Google type searches should work in your mystery country too.

Up to you.

There is too little input in the post. Whatever information is provided in response, the answer still will be incomplete.
