Trip to Iceland

Hey guys, new here! Planing my second trip to the Iceland. First time it was short, one week around Golden Circle.
Now we are planing go to the North (2-3 weeks depends on the weather) - around Akureri. Any sites to visit? Places to live?

I haven't been that far around, sticking mostly to the west coast. My favorite area were the northwest fjords, and then specifically the Látrabjarg Peninsula cliffs. Soooo many puffins! Also lots of natural hot pools around. Anyway, well worth visiting for a couple of days en route or on the way back from Akureyri.

Puffins, nice! We are thinking about Whales watching, Myvatn baths. It should be amazing, if the weather will be not windy...

I don't know what you will find to do around Akureyri for 2-3 weeks but if you will travel further afield you will find Goðafoss, Húsavík, Myvatn, the Diamond Circle, Hofsós, Blonduos, Húsafell. You definitely shouldn't miss Ásbyrgi Canyon. All of these places are also described in my blogs extensively.
