Hiking in Hong Kong???

I'll be in Hong Kong waiting to meet up with my brother July 5-8 and would rather spend the time hiking than shopping. Any ideas on how to find people to hike with, even an overnight trip???

there are several trails in the new territories - just go on the trail and meet people there.

its a bit hit and miss to expect to find someone on the trail to hike with. i recommend hitting up areas on the island to find link-minded individuals. places such as stanley market, lan kwai fong (bar district,) and samller clubs (eg. the fringe club.) you will most likely be able to find people, if not people who know people, who wouldnt mind joining you on a hike.
