Hey,
If so, what is it like? As I am playing cricket there next year!
Thanks, Hobbsie.
Hey,

Thanks, Hobbsie.
I'm about ten minutes away from that right now It's one of the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, about 40 minutes from the city center by train, maybe half an hour by car. It's nothing too special, just a typical suburb I guess, but there's nothing wrong with it either ! It's actually part of Ringwood which is a far bigger suburb and there's plenty happening around (not like downtown but still) to keep oneself entertained
Not the most happening of places. There's a sizeable shopping centre in Ringwood, with some cinemas which is about the most exciting thing. But, it is on a convenient train line into the city!
Thanks very much guys!
I am staying in the main city, and will be travelling out to East Ringwood for my Cricket. So knowing there is a convenient railway to and from E.R. is nice to know!
Once again, thanks. (Any more information is great! )
Hobbsie.
Hey Hobbsie,
East Ringwood is exactly as Peter describes - nothing special, but nothing wrong with the place either (unless you count Daisy's night club - STAY WELL AWAY!!!)
Try and spend most of your time in Melbourne city center and surrounds - there is much more to see and do. If it's your first time here in oz then take the trip from East Ringwood to Healsville sanctuary (a wild life reserve) and see the Australian animals. It's only about 30-40mins fro0m East Ringwood.
sing out if you're looking for someone to show you the cool bars and places to go in Melb - be happy to offer myself as a host
Cristy.
