I'm going back to Thailand in October, from the 6th till the 24th. I'm in BKK for a couple of nights and then I wanna try and get to Krabi, Ko Tao, Ko phan gan for the party on th 18th and I guess I'll be in Samui for a while as well. I have a mate who lives out there but he is totally unreliable at best. Does anyone know if the weather on Krabi is good in October ? Also, is anyone else gonna be around in October and wanna hook up for a laugh ? I'm leaving fom Heathrow, 32 y/o guy. Cheers, Iain. :)

I was in Krabi last October and the weather was fine every day with the exception of one downpour that was intense but finished within 20 minutes.

As in a reply to another of your posts, I will indeed be in Thailand in October, so drop me a line if you want.

October is still wet season as far as Krabi is concerned -- as the previous post shows, this doesn't mean that it will rain all day every day -- just bear in mind you are there in wet season and could get a fair bit of rain. I went yachting in the Bay of Phuket a few years ago for two weeks in mid October -- it rained loads every day -- not one of my better sailing trips LOL! though i've been down there other years and seen no rain at all -- individual mileage will vary!

Also, if you're only there for three weeks, and are already planning on visiting Bangkok, Samui, Pha Ngan and Tao, unless there is a pressing reason you're heading to Krabi (eg climbing), perhaps skip it this trip and spend more time on the gulf islands (though by October rain is increasing a little there too) and less time travelling from one spot to another.

Hope that helps

Cheers Fish ! I am gonna go climbing in Krabi, so I'll definately be there, worth the risk I reckon. Thanks for the advice, let me know where we you will be and when. I'm in Thailand from the 6th till the 24th of October. Thanks, Iain

I will be in Thailand in October too and cant decide which side will be the best. Does anyone know if the ferries will be running in October from Krabi to PhiPhi and Koh Lanta?
Which party is it in Koh Phangan on the 18th? Other than the dates for the FMP, I have been finding it difficult to get information about the half moon and black moon parties in Koh Phangan. Would appreciate any advice!
