Star this if you like it!
I am going to be in Delhi with 2 others in late November - we have 5 days from when we arrive in the city until we have to be back there.
we want to leave the city during that time to do something in the surrounding area.
I have been told it will be too cold then to go hiking but want to explore the region.
Can anybody suggest anything to do in those 5 days or any interesting places to go??
any suggestions would be great - cost is not really an issue.
thanks,
ella

Hi,
If you are in Delhi and have a few days to spare, you are always most welcome to the City of Lahore in Pakistan. Fabulous place--fragrant. Its just a 45-minute Delhi-Lahore flight-----------you can get Pakistani visa in Delhi from our Embassy. Its just a few hours by road too through Wahgah border
In Lahore, I will welcome you and be of great help.
Let me knoe once you decide.

Hi
In 5 days you could see a lot and start with one of the greatest sights in India at Agra; The Taj Mahal.
You can go by bus;4-5hrs or go by train 2-3hrs and you are going inland so it gets warmer.
You could then try Jaipur; The Pink City with its pink coloured old walled buildings which is only 2-3hrs from Agra OR go the other direction,4hrs to Lucknow and explore its unbelievable histroy and fantastic building and its warmer.
You will finally have one great problem!!!!!!!! you wont want to go back anywhere, you will only want to keep on exploring the forgotten wonders of friendly India.
Wishing you a great trip whichever way you go.

Is this what they call the Golden Triangle or something? As I'm going to be in Delhi for the same amount of time at the end of September and have been told that I have to do the triangle.

Hi
Yes; The Golden Triangle takes in Delhi-Agra-Jaipur and its very easily done in 5-6 days to see Red Forts,Majestic Palaces and to actually walk the frantic alleys and roads is something you will remember for the rest of your life!!!
But as I said it will be hard for you or anyone to stop ones trip in friendly India in so short a time but you can always go back.
Have a great trip
