I'm Marina from Switzerland. I'm in Vancouver at the moment and want to go to Seattle on Friday. Back in Switzerland, I called the US Embassy and they told me that i won't need a visa to enter the US if I won't stay longer than 3 months and if I won't work there or so. But now, friends here in Vancouver told me, that the officers on the boarder could make real trouble if someone without a canadian or us passport wants to enter or leave the us.
Now: do I need a visa or not?
is there anybody who can give me a 100% true answer or who can at least tell me where I might get one???
Thank you in advance,

hi everybody, it's me again. i solved my problem this evening! one of my friends from vancouver drove down to pt. roberts (USA) to pick up his mail from his mail box and i went with him. on the boarder, the customs officer gave me a three months tourist visa and i had to pay six USD. it was so easy....;)
thanks anyway,

Howdy part'ner!

See, it wasn't that bad!
We, American, nice to everyone!
Ya do come back, ya hear?
Have time drop by Texas, we'll give ya a Texas-size welcome.
Along the way, you can stop by one of the restaurants where you can have a FREE steak (5lbs). You have to eat it all. Otherwise, it is not free!
