If u have the time, then it is certainly worth making the trip down to Rome in italy. Steeped in history and culture, it is one of my personal favourite places in Europe. Florence is also good for culture. In Austria, you will want to go to Vienna, which is also good for culture. Not really sure about decent places to go in France. Ive only been to Paris and Marseille, both of which were nice but not exactly steeped in History!

OK, here are my suggestions:

France: Paris, Cannes, Monte Carlo (this is in Monaco but close enough to France), St. Tropez

Italy: Rome, Florence (if you are into art), Venice, Milan

Austria: Salzburg, Innsbruck, Vienna

As a vegetarian, you will not have a problem in any of these places. I am a vegetarian too. Hope this helps.

Hello Khanderia,

here are my suggestions for cultural and historic cities in France

-Paris and Versailles (15 kms from paris, where you could see the Versailles Castle, built for the king Louis XIV)
-Tours - for the castles of the Loire Valley
-Strasbourg - and more particularly a district called 'la Petite France'
-Beaune, small city full of history in a region called Burgundy
-Arles and its arena
-Nice, and its old city

hi khanderia,

as for italy, i'd suggest to skip milan and visit more of tuscany instead, or (even better) umbria: it's a region bordering tuscany but less travelled and very cute. there aren't many trains there though, but u might move around by bus as well, once u get to perugia.
rome, florence and venice are MUSTS, but u might want to check "le cinque terre" (in liguria, which is also on the way to france and amazingly easy-travelled by train). it's so different and pictoresque!!
if u'd have time i'd tell u to absolutely go to sardinia, to have a real culturally strong experience, but u need either to fly or get a ferry to get to that island (it's the one on the left on the map, underneath corse and france).
and if u also have to travel in france and vienna u might not go souther than rome, but the south of italy is an amazing part of europe, and regions like puglia, campania, basilicata or sicily are just awesome. think of them for ur next trip to italy!!!

make good plans and ask for more info if needed!!!
