Im going to Thailand around the middle of October for three weeks (before moving on to NZ and Aus). Hoping to do PADI diving course out there, possibly on Ko Tao, Ko Pha Ngan or Ko Samui, but a little worried that because of the time of year the weather and water visibility may not be up to much. If anyone has any suggestions of good locations to dive at this time of year they would be most appreciated. Cheers, Alex

I think I would wait until I was in country and adapt to prevailing conditions. The Phuket side is still in rainy season in Oct. but worth inquiring once there. It does not rain everyday and you may get a window of good weather while there. Check weather conditions once in Thailand and decide which coast has the better water clarity. Good luck with your trip.

There's a national waterpark just off Koh Tao but I think that vis wont be great at that time of year
