Hello. My husband and I are traveling to the Philippines for the first time next month. We already got places to stay at Manila and Cebu.

We are also going to visit other places. Any hotel recommendations?

Someone recommended a new hotel called "Century 21 Hotel".... does anyone have any contact information about this place?

Everything I find online looks ritzy. We want something simple (and cheap). No frills

We just want some place affordable (and especially) clean. Thank you, mates!

I have never been to the Philippines but will make it Feb 06 for 2weeks so if you can drop a message where you went and hotels and nightlife etc.
Try links, accommodation, destinations at top of this page and cheap accomodation at left side of this page and they all have great links to many great threads.
One of my favourtes is so have a try and Lonely Planet South East Asia has it all.
Have a great trip and enjoy your travels.

Hi Mathilda,

I'm in Boracay at the moment. The accommodation here is certianly not cheap, and prices increase by a huge amount during the tourist season. I will ask around in the next few days and see what kind of prices are about - and send a PM to you. Boracay is worth the effort. White Beach is beautiful and it is where most of the accommodation is. Whilst in Manila i recommend you visit the Taal volcano too.

I found Iloilo City's Century 21 Hotel's contact information online through another website. It is the hot new place in town.

Century 21 Hotel
Quezon Street, Iloilo City
Philippines 5000
Tel # (63)(33) 335-8821
Cell # (+63)920-9188821
Their website has the rates

You can always just ask the taxi to take you to the address, although if you arrive early November, I suggest you book ahead of time. November 1 & 2 are holidays in the Philippines. This hotel runs is quite in demand.

In Boracay, let me suggest Crystal Sand which is a mid-class hotel, seafront, clean, great service.

Good luck!

Most of the decent budget accomodation in Boracay is located in the area south of boat station 3. There are plently of value for money places here, and a nice laid back atmosphere. Check out Dave's Straw Hat Inn, Orchids Resort, Melinda's Garden, Angol Point, Little Crner of Italy, Alyssa Resort and Blue Mango. Rooms can be found for P500 or less.
