I am planning a 3 month trip to Thailand, Burma, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. I was wondering if anyone who have done this trip could recommend me a route, I am flying to Bangkok in November.

Thanks a lot for the tips.

Land Bangkok, catch a bus outside airport, pay at reception in Airport and 2hr later you are in Pattaya/Jomtien beach, relax for 5days.
Catch a bus to Trat, maybe have a night at beach facing Ko Samet/Ko Chang.
Cross Cambodia border and jump a boat(3hrs) from Hat Lek to Sihannokville and have 2-3days on beach then Minibus to Phnom Penh for 2-3days(Buy Veitnam Visa), then boat down the Mekong River to Veitnam border, cross border and minibus to Saigon for a few days then boat up the Veitnam coast to Vung Tu and ??????
Back to Saigon and back to Phnom Penh and then minibus up the dusty road to Angor Wat for 2days then minibus to Poipet(cowboy gun town) and cross border into Thailand.
Cross Thailand by bus to Vientiane;LAOS and explore surronding area ?????? then back into Thailand and bus to Chang Rai and Chang Mai then BUS down along the Burma border and you can take daytrips into Burma towns without a Burma Visa but you still get another 30day Thai stamp on coming out.
If you want to travel 1-2weeks in Burma you need a Burma Visa before you can travel, travel agent in Bangkok or Vientiane will do the necessary for that.
Jump on bus appox 0800 and jump off appox 1200,4hrs max and dump your bag in hotel and out on beach or sightseeing.
Lonely Planet South East Asia is the book for all your needs and Q.
Have a great trip and enjoy all your travels.(I go end of Dec)

Another suggestion - I just returned from my travels to the places u have mentioned.

Fly into BKK; take bus from Morchit 2 bus terminal to Aranyaprathet (193B), stay at Aran Garden 2 hotel, next morning cross into Cambodia via Poipet. Take shared taxi to Sisaphon and from here head for Battambang ( I say Battambang instead of Siem Reap cos the stretch from Sisaphon to SR is horrid), and in Battambang stay at Chnaang Hotel or like, and visit the Killing Caves, etc. Then fast ferry to Siem Reap (USD15), see the Wats, and then bus to Phnom Penh, stay cheap, and then take bus to HCMC, via Bavet-Moc Bai, explore Vietnam by rail (Sapa), go as far as Hanoi, and then ( option) cross over into Laos via Nam Xoi-Na Meo border crossing, and u can spend days visiting southern Laos or go up north to as far as Luang Namtha. If you go down south, more scenic ( go as far as Pakse via Savannakhet) - lot to see in Pakse, Champassak. Then from Pakse cross over to Thailand via border crossing at Vang Tao-Chong Mek.Well, from here, head for Phibun (maybe u want to break here and go to Kong Chiam), and from here take bus to Ubon Ratchathani, and from here bus up to Khon Kaen, go up to Loei...further up u have border crossing into Burma...but it can be a hassle (visa, etc).

If you want to explore northern Laos, u can go as far as Luang Prabang, Huay Sai, and cross into Thailand at Chiang Kong, and then explore the Issan region.

Well, three months..it is okay..
