Hi, just wondering how safe it would be as a female to go to Paris alone for a night or two. Also if anyone has any suggustions on what to do ect.. that would be great.

Paris should be OK for a female traveling alone. Here are my suggestions for things to do in Paris:

a) Eiffel Tower at sunset
b) Cruise down the Seine River
c) Visit to the 4th floor of Musee D'Orsay.
d) Musee du Louvre
e) Montemartre and Basilique du Sacre Coeur
f) A Walk down Avenue Des Champs Elysees till you reach the Arc di Triumph
g) Palace/Gardens of Versailles (the gardens are way more impressive)

Hope this helps.

i liked the musee picasso and the musee d'orsay much more than the louvre (picasso is one of my favourite painters)
i found the louvre to be disappointing.... it has the mona lisa but the d'orsay has a lot of different artists including van gogh, cezanne, monet etc.

also the centre georges pompidou is awesome/wierd from an architectural perspective and free to enter the permanent exhibition (it has modern art)

you should also check out the notre dame.
and on the champs elysee go to the virgin megastore - its in an amazing building! and so many floors of cds...

if i were you i would walk most places in the centre because you never know where you will find something cute in paris... its pretty safe.

if you need somewhere to stay a hostel that both myself and my friend found individually and loved is the woodstock hotel which is walking distance from the sacre coeur. dont stay at the 3 ducks - a lot of stuff was stolen from there when i stayed and the management werent very nice about it.

have fun! i love the city!

notre dame is definitely a must.

saint-crocoeur and the surroundings as well... do not worry, you will find your way, and finally you will have loads of things to do and see and no time to do all...

then you'll go back! :-P
