I've decided to take the plunge and have a gaunt around Europe, and I'd love a compadre(s) to adventure with. Despite the fact I'm 23 my concerned mother doesn't want me to go alone, which is understandable.

I was orignally hoping to take this trip round about now, but you know best laid plans... so I'm kind of half planned already but changes in route I'm fine with. Also useful to note that to save on the pennies and for some extra adventure I was hoping to spend most of the nights couchsurfing!!! I roughly worked it out as taking 6-8 weeks, to include Russia as well (Interrail pass not valid there), going in a lovely big circle.

I'll just do a rough route plan by city
London - Brussels - Paris - Dijon or Lyon - Geneva - Bern - Milan - Verona - Venice - Trieste - Split (with Ferry trip down dalmation coast to Dubrovnik)- Budapest - Krakow - Warsaw - Moscow - St. Petersberg - Helsinki - Stockholm - Oslo - Kristiansand (ferry to) Newcastle

If anyone is interested reply or PM me, and I'll let you know all about me and my hopes, dreams and fears.

If noone replies, I'd love to bump it but I'll follow the rules and not double post.

Also any advise is welcome

Ta Muchly folks

I'm heading over to europe on May 1st 2006. Starting in Copenhagen, Denmark...then over to Germany (want to see berlin wall remains, maybe mark messier's home town, party in Hamburg where the Beatles first started off), Amsterdam (hitting the Heineken Brewery etc ), France (climb the eiffle towel, see jim morrison's grave, historical landmarks etc), maybe Spain, then switzerland (want to take a cable car to the top of the elps, swim in Lake Geneva etc), Italy (i heard the best place to watch a soccer game is in Milan, but have to hit rome, venice, maybe verona and florence too!), then taking a boat over to greece and flying out around June 1st to sydney australia to work for the rest of the summer. It's gonna be crazy, and i'm sure my plans will change when i meet up with ppl. I'm 22, finishing a BSc at the university of Guelph, female. I'm getting a eurorail pass too.
Talk to u soon,

I'm loving this.... I'm planning on going to Europe around May or so of this year and although I'm sure I'll meet tons of people there in hostels and whatnot it's great to talk to people pre-trip about what their plans are. I'm so pumped! I'm a 24/m from Nova Scotia and I'm finishing up a graduate degree, no job as of yet so I'm going to save what I can and put the rest of the trip on the visa!! haha! Send me a message if you want to talk!

Hi everyone,

I have been reviewing my plans for interrailing of late and I'm now thinking if I can be super organised I want to move my trip forward to mid March, again going for 6-8 weeks, to be back home in time to fly off to Italy mid May. Blimey! I'm using the word mid a lot, a sign that my plans are all a little vague)

Hope I can generate interest again

While Interrailing I was planning on going from Bern to Milan and then to Verona (with a stop off at Lake Garda), Venice and then into Slovenia.

I'm going on an art tour holiday with my Mum and Aunts in May to Tuscany so I'm doing Florance then.

Hi all
Bit of an update
Me & another on this board are thining of going to Italy in May-June starting in Rome, then Florence, Milan, Florence & Venice. Then onto other destinations including Germany for the WC, Czech Rep, Amsterdam. Anyone in Europe around this time get in touch. Were flexible on our plans as were hoping to just 'go with the flow' when were there. Maybe we can meet up on part our travels as the more the merrier!
