I'm thinking about studying abroad in Cyprus OR Belize for a month or so... The problem is I don't know which one to go to. I want to stay longer to travel afterwards. Should I travel around Belize for a couple weeks after? Or to go to Europe and travel?

Who's been there? Anything will help. Details...

Hey i was in belize for a few weeks in the summer it was pretty cool but belize city really sucks not much to do there and really ugly. The cayes are really sweet though and definetely the place to be in Belize. It's alotta fun with alotta things to do(watersports mostly) and you will meet a ton of people on Caye Caulker.I'd go to Cyprus though.

Never been to Cyprus so I can't really help too much. I did enjoy Belize though. We have a bunch of pictures at

Belize versus Cyprus?
well i think thay are 2 tatally different countries that cannot be compared. I can only comment on Cyprus because i live there and i have never been to Belize. It depends what u want do there. If u like to enjoy meditteranean sea, friendly and hospitable people, rich history, warm climate and a culture different that the american culture then Cyprus is the place to be. You can easily continue your journey with a short flight to the greek islands and then may be to Italy.
If u have specific questions about Cyprus do not hesitate to ask me.

I have been to both places and i would go with Cyprus, i think Belize, though interesting, may be a harsh place to live. Cyprus is a very friendly place, great food, lots to see and do. From Cyprus you can easily get to Greece for some travelling, although there would be plenty to keep you occupied in Cyprus if you only have a couple of weeks.
