Hey Bux, welcome to the site.

To be honest, I don't think it can be done -- happy to be proved wrong by someone though :) From a quick glance at the Eurolines website, a bus trip would cost about EUR100. I don't think you would find prices much cheaper than that. If you are thinking of a budget airline, just bear in mind that often the prices advertised don't include taxes and you may end up spending a fair amount getting from the airport to where you want to be as well.

The only way I imagine you could do it is by hitchhiking - perhaps try to find some travel companions through this forum to share the cost of petrol and such things if anyone else is doing the trip and has a car. Other than that you could ride a bike if you have access to one, although that might take a little long for your liking - I'm sure you would see some great things along the way though! ;)

Cheers, Peter

Well I cannot prove Peter wrong!!

BUT if you are looking to get from BtoA without looking at the sights in between this still might be of interest . . . . . .

EasyJet are currently offering 52Euros including taxes for a one way flight in May if booked on their website . . .although if you play around with the dates on their website you may find a cheaper fare.

Alternatively there is a company called BusAbout that do bus trips between April and October between the major european cities . . .might be worth looking at their website.

Good luck!

Ok, in a quest to prove myself wrong I found a cheaper airfare.. 48,77 euro incl. taxes can be found on (a dutch budget airline). The flight is for the 26th of May (sorry, didn't know when you wanted to travel so picked something out of the air). See if anyone can beat that ;)

Cheers, Peter

As Peter suggests, the only certain way to meet your budget would be to hitchhike. Even then, you may struggle on cost if you use a ride fixing company - You would have to do it without official help, generally using loryy drivers for lifts. If it helps, about a year ago, I made it from Copenhagen to Perpignan (60k north of Fra-Spa border) in about 48hours by hitching, and the final driver was continuing through Barcelona and would have been happy to take me that far. It cost me about 10 euro's, and that was voluntarily to pay for meals for 2 seperate drivers. It is possible!

Cycling (or walking, using roller skiis, pogo stick etc) would obviously be cheaper, but the extra costs required for food and accom (or buying a tent) would be much higher.

It is theoreticaly possible to fly cheaply, either direct or possibly even via a mid point, probably London. But taxes, and transfers (Ryanair for example fly to Girona, which is 100km North of Barca).

But having seen Peter's challenge to beat 48.77 by flying, i have to at least see if i can beat that Watch this space....!

Have tried a few solutions, but cant seem to work this one out.. Ah well looks like it will have to be Hitch-hiking;)
Have never hitched a ride in my life, should be fun!
lol, I liked the Pogo-stick idea as well, might have to give that a miss though...
Thanks for the help on this matter, I'll hopefully be back soon with a more realistic dillemma...:)
