Thailand, Jan 2006

Hiya!

My name's Holly and I'm a 26 year old web designer from London. I'm starting a solo round the world trip, lasting up to a year, on Jan 22nd. I've nothing set in stone other than flights through SEA, Oz, Nz, Pacific Islands and the USA.

I'm really excited, but also somewhat nervous about stepping off a plane in a strange city, not knowing anyone. So I'm looking for some fun, friendly people to meet up with in Bangkok, so we can make some plans to travel around and generally have a great time together!

Hey, ill arrive in bangkok on the 21st of jan and am traveling alone as well. I don't have any specific plans yet and am looking to meet some people. I'm a student on a 2 month break who is looking to relax, see some sights and have a lot of fun. let me know if you have any plans for when your there and want to meet up.

per above mails, am an irish guy, been on the road the last 9 months in south america, new zealand and oz, am in bangkok now as of the 8th jan, am also on the trail on my own, will be here to the 10-12th i think, am trying to get loas, vietnam and cambodia organised, think loas will be 1st stop and will tackle each in turn thereafter, if anyones up for loas drop me a line, if not best of luck to all of ye in the travels,

It seems like there are a few of us with the same idea out there. I am arriving in Bangkok on the 24th Jan, so if anyone wants to meet up then let me know. I need to find a beer buddy by the 30th when I will be reaching the grand old age of 27!

Heading off to Kuala Lumpur tomorow for 3 days then a week in Penang then hitting Thailand so anyone above fancies a beer let me know!

Hi all!

Wow, tons of replies. Looks like a lot of us are heading out there at the same time.

I've actually pushed my date back and I'm not flying out till 15th Feb, I'm then on an organised tour for a month. But then I'll be back in Bangkok and ready to head down to the beaches, if anyone is around then, give me a shout.
