Was wondering what to expect as far as weather is concerned in April around The Veneto area. Can we expect rain, if so how much, are the days/nights cold?. What protective clothing (if any) would you recommend.
Cheers Mario

april should start to be warmer than the months berfore, but you never know. LAst april was cold in central Italy where I live, so ...
As for the rain, again, who knows?
Bring a warm raincoat, sweters, long and short sleeves T-shirts and be ready either to cold or warm weather, but not hot!

In Veneto, weather in April can be really variable.
Of course it's spring and days are getting longer, but we can have really rainy days and then sunny and warm ones. Usually the air and the breeze are still a little cold.
Besides, it depends on what area of Veneto we are talking about: in the Dolomites (and in general on the mountains) there is still snow and expect especially nights to be really cold, while in the plain, it's warmer...
Let's say: no short sleeves or swimsuits, but no heavy coats or scarfs either..

Thanks Claudia & Laurenzo for your quick replies. Our plan is to possibly use 'Bassano Del Grappa' area as a base so we should not be in the mountains. Your descriptions gives me a good feeling for what to expect. Not unlike our Spring here in Victoria (Australia). Thanks again - Gratize Mario
