Hi, Im going to be going to Thailand in April with my boyfriend and we were intending on going to a full moon party and renting a bungalow on the Haad Rin beach. Ive come across Coral bungalows, they look lovely and within our budget but I was wondering if anyone has either stayed there or heard anything about them!
Any info would be greatly apreciated!

I stayed at Coral Bugalows last year and it was a fairly decent place, without being exceptional.

On the plus side, the staff were very friendly and the bar/restaurant area was really nice, and it was good value for the price. Overall standards were pretty good for what you expect when you're backpacking.

On the down side the water went off a couple of times and also the restaurant would quite often get your meals not quite right, and occasionally they would overcharge slightly for meals. It didn't have a beach out front either, but this wasn't a big deal as it was less than a ten minute walk to the main Haad Rin Sunrise beach.

If I went back to Haad Rin and everywhere was full then I would happily stay at Coral Bungalows again, but having said that, I stayed at better places than Coral Bungalows and it wouldn't be my first choice.

My first two choices would be Palita Lodge if you want to stay on the busy side of Haad Rin (Sunrise beach), and Seaside if you want to stay on the quiet side (Sunset beach).

Also if you're going there for the Full Moon Party I would recommend getting there a few days early as over the Full Moon period Haad Rin gets totally booked out.

My friend and I stayed at Coral back in September and loved it there. There was a lot of building work going on, as they were having a new swimming pool installed but that should be finished now. The rooms are nice and affordable - all have 3 bed with ensuite (some air con for more) but our bungalow with fan was 300Baht a night (150B each).

The staff there were brilliant and so friendly and they make you feel really welcome. We intended on staying for 2 nights and ended up staying 10 days, and actually went back there after going to phi phi as we had such a great time and met some brilliant people there!
