I want to travel by bus from Rio to Salvador to arrive in Salvador around 23rd February. Is it necessary to book my bus ticket in advance? Also, how much is this likely to cost and how long (time-wise) is the journey?

you can buy tickets from rio to salvador with AGUIA BRANCA coach company or itapemirim. It gonna cost you about R$ 230.00 in an executive bus.
and you can find abadas for salvador on , but if you are looking for CHICLETE COM BANANA or ASIA DE AGUIA or IVETE SANGALO , you will have to buy them from ticketout , probably for double the price !!
i am going with ivete sangalo on saturday and sunday.... sat. £115 and on sunday £175 ..... it not cheap but worth every single penny you spend ....

good luck !!

Hi everyone.

During the carnival time it is better to buy the ticket in advance. Everyone travel during this time. The price today is around US$ 85,00, travel time 24 hours.
