I think there is an absoulute "Truth". Perhaps not in the sense that 5+5=10, something even more concrete then that.

Quoting Desiree

I would like to know everything, but not really knowing everything, something like just minutes before you die you know everything, before that, you learn everyday much more.

Sometimes I feel so stupid and dumb, and so young, I have no idea how I should fix my bike, altough that is quite simple. I don't know why buildings are in the way the are and what they tell about their time.

I'm still learning, I'm learning more languages, I have a subscription at (or is it, subscription on??) national geographic and that helps, but still so many things are unkown. And that is frustrating and really good, because it means I still have things to learn.

And do you think it's possible to know the 'real truth?', does it exist? Because everythings seems to be a opinion of something, we call black, black, because someone gave it the name black. We decided that the world started around the birth of christ, so we have the difference BC and the normal years, that is really strange if you start thinking about it.

ya just gotta accept all the craziness and ignorance ya have. itsa part o what makes you you. i say dumb shit and sound like a 13 year old on a regular basis. but i do understand where your comin from with the cultures and languages.
i like your argument on truth.. i agree, somewhat. whats defines anything as anything? for something to be anything, someone has to 'behold' it, so it is whatever it is to that person. i do that kinda thinking all the time. i hear ya.

I want to know why my VCR automatically turns itself off after a certain time, my TV has a sleep timer, but my DVD player, which is technilogically "more advanced" than either, has neither timer nor auto shut off, which means if I want to fall asleep watching my favorite flick, it goes back to the main menu and plays ALL night.

Speaking of, well, speaking, I'd love to know what my dog is saying and thinking. Why does she never bark when she wants to go outside, but she barks at three in the morning when she thinks it's time to play? She invents games, but how and why? Why did she eat an entire shoe? How does she know I think it's funny when she gets in the bathtub to play? And why does the cat now follow suit?

Bigfoot, Elvis, UFOs, Shirley MacLain, the hereafter--they can all wait. I want to know where my little beasties get these odd notions...
