I got myself a Berhaus freeflow IV 35+8L for my trip. Very happy with it, seems well made and is comfortable. Might be a bit small if your looking at a 50L+. They do do a 50l version though. Best bet is go and try as many as possible.

I have a rick steves one thats been my travel compainion for years. Its a great green sturdy bag that has room for a laptop in its own pouch and plenty of room for clothes. Its great I love it and am rather attached to it, I also have a Rick Steves day pack.

-snip- I am also in the process of buying my travel gear. One thing my friend has told me is to pack light as I can get things over in Asia alot cheaper. Good luck!

[ Edit: Sorry, no promos please. ]

i am thinking of buying a backpack of about 70 L and cant decide between lafuma or deuter! i am thinking btw lafuma landcruiser or deuter's aircontact/aircontact lite/quantum. Does anyone know which one is the most comfortable?

i really like deuter's quantum as it has a detachable bag and it can be opened in the middle (as opposed to just taking things just top and bottom of the bag), but i believe that it has the worst back system? ( according the the website aircontact has a system called aircontact while quantum only has a back system called the variquick)

thank you so much!
