Not entirely sure if Iceland is classed as Europe, (think it is) but has anyone been to reykjavik?

I'm all too aware of how expensive it is so i was wondering if anyone knew of any hidden gems or secrets to help me save money.

Cheap but nice hotels/BBs?
Cheap good eateries?

I'm there at end of July.

Thank you

ah, been twice - dd anyone tell you how expenisve it is ;)

anyway I did find a cheap BnB when i was there BUT dont recall the name. The Hostel is a nice hostel but a bit far from the center.

No food is cheap there unless u want to eat Hot dogs or take away Fish theres a good shop on the corner of the main street, youll know what I mean when u see it.

The cheapest hostel in Reykjavik is the official HI hostel but it is a bit away from the city centre and it might not be as nice as a lot of the downtown hostels.
Try to eat out as little as you can and buy food in supermarkets. Bónus is most often the cheapest. The HI hostel has a kitchen you can use.
PM me if you have any more questions and I will try to answer them.

P.S. Iceland is in Europe
