Quoting Bill E

Mong Kok in Hong Kong (Kowloon side) lots of shops some off the main street, locals shop there, often electronics are later models than in the tourist drag of Nathan Road. In my experience most people speak english some better than others but if you are a buyer they will always find someone who can understand what you want and help.

It has always been my experience in both Hong Kong and Singapore that the shop keepers all want to do business and will try to sell you something - You only get ripped off if you haven't looked around and checked local prices, same as at home in Australia, for hardware check that you get an International warranty so that you are covered when you get back.

Good luck.

Thanks buddy, will definetely go to Mong Kok and try not to get lost there :)

Personally i'd stear clear of Nathan road... it's just a little dodgy. If you do, make sure you get an international warranty. Otherwise it's kinda sketchy.
