Hi! Me and my freind just booked flight too Dom.Republic! 3 weeks of vaxxation! And we have NO IDEE where to live, Eat and visit in the Area of Dom.R.
We were planing to use the flight paths to fligh to diffrent islands ex. Barbados, Saint Martin, Martinicue. Or anything else! :-D
We would like to visit 3 places...

So we would be greatfull for Cheap Backpacker/hostells/sleeping places on diffrent islands that we "should" visit!

Tips on Traveling insted of airplane to the diffrent places...

We will enter the Carrabean on March 15 :-D So help us as fast as possible...

I'm sorry I can't help much with the Dom.Rep portion of your trip, however, I can say it's not going to be as easy as you think to get to the other destinations. You would need to go through San Juan to get to all three of them and that will not make your holiday cheap.. airlines would include American Airlines, LIAT, and Caribbean Sun/Star.

There are a number of inexpensive places to stay in Barbados .. take a look at and check out the accommodation pages.

I'm not very familiar with the other 2 locations either.

I lived on an island called Saba, very close to St maarten.
The Dominican Republic is very cheap. But like it was mentioned, to get to most islands you have to fly from San Juan. It is about 200 US from there to St Maarten. I would NOT reccomend staying anywhere but a hotel is any surrounding island. I found the Caribbean very expensive. On the other hand, St Maarten, St Barths, Anguilla, Saba are amazing places I would reccomend. However they are not cheap. Post again if you want more information. I know most things about these island and surrounding areas.
