I went to Fiji a few years ago. Its a lovely part of the world with clear blue beaches and sand as soft as baby powder.

I travelled with a P&O cruise so I did a lot of the islands close to the mainland Fiji. So I cant really tell you much about the mainland of Fiji.

One thing i can tell you is to be careful of people ripping you off! The Fijians are wonderful people but know how to rip off a tourist! When buying wooden souvenirs I would also double check if the wood has been treated.

Try to peel fruit if you are going to eat it. A friend of mine recently came back from Fiji and got very sick trying some of the local fruits so keep an eye out for fresh, good quality food.

You can usually find a taxi driver to drive you around for the whole day - just make sure you bargain with them to get the best deal and I certainly wouldn’t pay more than $60AU.

Make sure you wear 30+ sunscreen as the sun is very hot with not much in terms of shade.

Hope this info helps. Enjoy your time in Fiji!

Went to Fiji last year, the awesome adventures boat is a great way of getting about. You should check out the Yasawa Islands there top!,had a top time, snorkeling, kayak, suning and swiming, meet some top people.
The boat is good for Island hopping, and the travel pass is best to be booked before you get to Fiji.
I hope you have a great time, like I did!.
