Travel Forums Asia Bird flu question

I'm going to be travelling up through SE Asia and China in a month and a half. I was just wondering what the likelihood of oming into contact with domestic birds was through those countries? I know as long as I avoid contact with the animals then I won't have any risk of catching the disease (as long as it still hasn't reached a pandemic) but I'm not sure how free the chickens are over there? Do they normally cage them up, or do you just see them roaming around the streets of villages?

You don't need to worry about bird flu at those countries. Of course, when it becomes a world problem, you couldn't see any chickens running around in cities even you expected.
Therefore, enjoy your trip.
