Yes, I tot to go there since 2 years ago. I hav a fren went there few times. I think it will be a very great experience.
Mount Kinabalu situated at east malaysia. near by there are lot of small island. Thus, ppl will visit all these small island after the KK trip.
If u plan to climb Mount Kinabalu, i advice you to take the adventure path instead of the easier way to go up. I heard the scenary is nice.

If it is your first time climbing mount kinabalu, I would suggest that you climb from Timpohon Gate (Kinabalu park HQ). The trail is a bit shorter and easier. However, if you have climbed from Timpohon Gate before, you can try the Mesilau Trail. A bit longer (about 1.5km longer) and tougher, but the scenery is nicer. Very suitable for bird watcher and nature lovers.
Just make sure that you have enough training before the climb. Preparation? I found a very good website that give the info about mount kinabalu climb. Try it out.

Yep, I prefer Mesilau Trail than Timpohon Trail ...maybe you can try this route: up by Mesilau and down through Timpohon Trail.
