I'm staying in Orlando 25th-30th Nov this year. International Drive area seems to have some pretty cheap places to stay.

Not really sure what to expect - kind of imagine a big motorway with motels dotted along. If this is the case, where's the best part of I-Drive to stay. Is there shops, restaurants etc around the hotels?

Any help/advice would be good,

please nb. I wont have a car. Is public transport pretty good for all the attractions??

International drive is good & cheap, lots of places to eat and attractions nearby. A good local bus service will take you into town and getting shuttles to the attractions from the hotels is easy.

Its a big wide road, not a motorway - crossing is possible, September to November is tornado weather, but is also very take suncream with you.

We stayed in Motel 66, stayed in the room which overlooked the car park...which helped cut the costs! I never spend so much time in my room that I need a view!!!

Orlando is a pretty cheap place to stay comparing with other US cities... I've stayed in a two double bed room for 27 dollars (18GB) the night including taxes.... Everywhere around and in Orlando you will find booklets with load of rooms specials... gas stations, restaurants... just check it out.. for sure youll find a very good deal...
