Hi im Planning for a 8-days crash holiday in Thailand. It will be just a day or two at each place. I would be happy if you could assist me in my itineary:

I will be travelling from HK to Phuket as I understand buses leave from the terminal in Phuket town every afternoon and take about 3 hours to reach Krabi, I then plan to go to Koh Samui from Krabi and to Cambodia before heading to Bangkok to return home. I would appreciate if you have any info in mind tat you could share withe me on my travel itinerary which is Phuket-Krabi-Koh Samui-Cambodia-Bangkok... Is there any connecting transportation from each of these places?

Looking forward to hear from you.

With only 8 days and so many hopping spots...
Buses might take time for you and will make you exhausted!!
Where in Krabi you plan to visit? Islands? Ao Nang or Koh Phi Phi?
If you plan to go to those island, take ferry from Phuket town directly to the islands, no need bus and then boat again from Krabi town.

From Krabi to Koh Samui, I think you can take bus but if you want faster and more convenient, take the ferry back to Phuket and get on the flight by Bangkok Airways from Phuket to Samui.

And from Samui to Cambodia, no direct way without coming back to Bangkok and fly or take a bus from bangkok to Cambodia. Siem Riep or Phnom Pehn are you planning to go? Ankor Wat is in Siem Riep, can take a van from Bangkok to Siem Riep(buy a package from Khaosan road)
Bangkok Airways has flight to Samui and also Siem Riep, maybe you can contact the airline to see if you can buy connecting ticket from Samui to Siem Riep. Would be easier and save your time, right?

If you have more questions, just let me know.

Jane pretty well covered your options. Two things I would add is that Air Asia is now flying BKK-PNH for less than 1,000 baht($26) and why go to Koh Samui? The Krabi area is prettier and has more options than Samui and you save a few days by not bouncing between them. Get your fill of pretty islands/beaches in Krabi area, take the overnight bus Krabi/BKK and fly to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap. Makes more sense than trying to do both Krabi, Samui & Cambodia in 8 days. Good luck.

I'm not sure it was clear in the previous posts but you can fly from Phuket to Bkk VIA Samui with Bangkok Air and they also are the only company flying direct to Siam Reap (Ankhor Wat)the only problem is that they are a relatively expensive airline as they own most of the airfields they land on and deny any competition landing rights. there is also a charge on leaving Samui by air of about 400baht (airport tax???).
So in theory your itinerary should be available through one airline all in one go - but at a price.
Look out for the discounts they offer - oddly enough it is sometimes cheaper to get a Samui/Phuket/Bkk ticket than one just to Samui/Bkk as they don't have a monopoly on the Phuket airport.
