I'm looking for someone to help me out part time in Mexico (20 hours a week) and I cover the expenses.

The assistant I am looking for would be a female under 130 pounds if I decide to keep the Motorcycle (If I sell it and get a car in August weight won't matter). -- I have a spare helmet sized for a female.

I will be in Puerto Vallarta at the end of April, in Mazatlan for May, June, July.

Then, if I decide to keep the bike, I'll shoot up to the border to renew my tourist card before heading for the Yucatan. If I decide to sell the bike and get a car, I will probably need to stay in the states for August and return to Mexico in September.

Lot's of cities on my to do list, so an experienced traveler is the best choice for me because they already know what is involved in traveling for a long time and won't get home sick. If it is your first time away from home, I have an extra opening in Mazatlan MAY, JUNE, JULY -- but I wouldn't risk the long trip into the Yucatan with someone I don't know was sure about such a long trip . . . So if you want to do Mazatlan first and see if you are mature enough to handle the long Yucatan trip, we'll call it a trial period.

Duties would include making coffee, cooking, typing, shopping, or whatever else would free up some time for me. -- Easy stuff . . .

very strange request yours...sound like you're a bit of a "macho" want a woman, nice and slim, who can cook, write, money conscious for the shopping, able to cope with your needs, who for sure is a pain in the ass because, been a female, is not able to ride a bike...

Not strange at all Claudia. The weight is due to the fact that I'm riding a Honda GL1000 with a maximum weight capacity of 360 pounds. Now add my weight 165 pounds, plus windjammer, luggage racks, bike fluids, tools, and 130 pounds is already putting me a little over the suggested limit.

Not that I want to get into a pissing contest with someone who obviously has nothing better to do than find something that has nothing to do with them to complain about . . . If a female thinks that shopping, cooking, typing, and other EASY part time work is an easy way to travel around Mexico without money, and she thinks it's a good deal for her . . . and I think its a good deal for me . . . what does that have to do with you? N O T H I N G !

If I prefer a female secretary/assistant . . . it still has nothing to do with you. And if you think that makes me a "macho" I don't care. If I said that I wanted a guy to do all of those things, you would probably complain saying that I must be "gay".

If you can't say anything nice, you might consider thinking for a moment before you reveal your ignorance.

The point is why does the gender matter at all? Gender discrimination is sooooo last century!

I agree with Claudia. We've had someone on this site walk into a similar situation before and be burnt by the experience. I think it's fair enough to voice some scepticism.

And err, your email address has been removed (see forum rules) and this thread has been moved into the 'travel companions' forum where it belongs.
