Can anyone give me any idea how much it would cost to go from Amsterdam to the airport in Brussels on a Saturday? Bout a three hour train ride, but the website won't give me a price. Thanks

Just talked to my husband who is on his way from Amsterdam to Brussels. He says roughly 50 Euros, but no direct trains from Amsterdam to the Airport. You will have to change trains in one of Brussels stations, probably Brussels Central..

Easiest way to get from Amsterdam to Bruxelles is taking the Thalys ( This train ride will take 3 hours and will bring you from Amsterdam Central Station to Bruxelles Midi. The price is 44 euro's but there is also a possibility to buy a last minute and this will cost you 22 euro's (more info on the website).

You did not write wich airport in Bruxelles you need to go to. Bruxelles has it's own international airport called Zaventem but I know cheap airlines say they land in Bruxelles but actually the use the airport in Charleroi and this is not in Bruxelles.

If you need more information do not hestitate to write,

Kind regards,

The Ryanair airport of Brussels-Charleroi is actually right next to Charleroi, and not near Brussels, as you might think. It's about 60 km from Brussels, and you can easily get there by train (trust me, I've done it). There's a direct train from "gare du midi" (Brussels - South) to the train station of Charleroi-Sud, which takes you about 43 minutes (see Outside the train station of Charleroi-Sud, you take the bus A or n° 68 to Charleroi airport. (see also There's a special price for those who take the train and the bus afterwards to the airport : it's 19,20 € for a 2-way ticket Brussels - Charleroi airport and back. But if you can get a reduction of some kind (if you're a user of a "go pass" or "rail pass" eg., see the website of the nmbs), than you're better of buying a simple ticket for the train and one for the bus on the bus itself.

You could also take a bus ("navette") from "Gare du midi" (Brussels-South) to Charleroi airport, which cost about 10,50 € one-way. Everything is on the website of Charleroi Airport actually, you just have to look for it.
