LOL
Ok guys,let's celebrate low alpine!1!LOL
I still have to say that I hated it,but maybe you'll never use it in the conditions I did.Maybe it can be ok for backpacking around, even though it is terrible for intensive hiking...
Wish you pleasure! ;)

i get the impression that's it's all personal. i mean everyone is different. like the berghaus for me was just uncomfortable when I tried it on properly....

From what I gather, the whole backpack issue differs from person to person. Like the others say, take the advice of the shop assistants, and just make sure you feel comfortable. Everyone's different so the chances are you may well find one pack more comfortable than someone else might.

We went out to buy ours for our trip in September a while back. I went for a Berghaus Spirit, and the missus went for a Karrimore, but it was a toploader, and ended up taking it back and changing it for the Berghaus Jalan (matching packs - how cute! I'm going to have to spray-paint hers I think ) We went to Blacks for the fittings and they were really helpful - explaining how to adjust the straps properly/in which order etc. Admittedly, we then went home and bought them on-line (saving about 80 quid in the process).

One thing with listening to other people who have travelled, they really stressed how much easier it is to have a fully zippable pack rather than a toploading one, but again I suppose it's personal preference.

Good luck

Dan

I bought a karrimor strata from milletts, but now i'm not sure if I should take it back & look around more. I bought it cos I had previously looked in other shops & not found any thing I liked or that was under about £180. I tried it on in the shop & it felt fine, it had stuff in it to get an idea of the comfiness but admittedly not as heavy as it will be when I actually pack it myself.
I tend to always buy things too quickly though & then not be happy & I think maybe I should have looked around more. What does anyone else think of this backpack?
