I have a situation where i need to catch a flight from Ko Samui at 8am to Phuket.

Two nights before that is the full moon party on Koh phangan. I will require a nice restful day the day after that. Although im due to leave the following morning.

What i want to do is catch an early boat to Samui. Say 6am. Is this possible?

Can i go out of my own way and pay for a private boat if i have too at that time so i can make the flight. i have been told that the boat trip between these islands is 45 mins?

does anyone know or can help me out with some information or suggestions.

Hiya Dave,

I think the earliest boat from Koh Pha Ngan is 8am - at least it was last September anyway. I know that some companies organise earlier boats the morning after the Full Moon Party to go back to Koh Samui. If you speak to some locals they might be able to sort you out, jump on one of the fishing boats maybe?
The boat only takes about 30-40 minutes.
Hope this is of some help,

Kristie x

IF you're really keen (and get organised before hand) you'll be able to catch a speed boat at around 3-4 am

The earlier routine ferry is Songserm Express Boat
(Tel:(66) 077 - 377046)
Depart Pha Ngan
Arrive Samui
That's the latest information I got. I think it's too late for you, so better find other way.
Maybe leaving from Pha Ngan by 16.00 ferry and stay over night in Samui, easier to catch your early morning flight?
Just an idea...

the day after the full moon party is mad at the docks. the boats are really full and the docks are crazy with ppl leaving so factor that in!! i would def suggest you leaving the day after anyways and arriving in samui the night before, just to be sure. the ferry can be 45 min's or less or more..its not always reliably on time. you can get a private boat but look into it ahead of time, try to leave really early morning when everyone goes back to samui. not sure of the cost, prolly pretty steep. everything generally is at full moon party time.
