Hi! I am planning to go to Europe this May and I have been searching low cost carrier for Paris to Amsterdam with no luck. Any ideas on cheap flight or by train may be? How long and how much for transportation using train from Paris to Amsterdam

I also want to know the recommended hotels in Amsterdam around US$ 50-60 / night, near city center or attractions?

Many thanks

Have you checked out all of these:

vueling, easyjet, ryanair, blue air, thomsonfly, skyeurope, bmibaby, germanwings, snowflakes, aerlingus, HLX, airberlin, wizz air, jet2, aireuropa, smartwings, airbaltic

Train from Amsterdam to Paris will be 4 hours. Cost varies: what time you book, how you book, whether you have a railpass like Eurail, what age you are, student status, etc. Check, but it should be between 50 and 100 EUR.

Another option could be the bus, 9 hour ride, but cheapest.

BTW, why do you want a hotel, when you can have a private room in a hostel for half the price? And you will have to take a hostel with the prices and locations you have in mind for a few of the top-20 of the most expensive cities in the world.

Click on accomodation on the top of this page, it will give you some ideas.

Hi! t_maia, thank you for your reply, I have checked almost all the website in your email but still no luck. I think I will use train then since it only takes 4 hours.

You are right re: accomodation in Amsterdam, I will need at least around US$ 100/night for a hotel. In my countries (Indonesia), sometimes small hotels (hostel) do not honour reservations. There was a time when I booked one hostel and paid in advance but upon check-in there was no room for me and they just returned my money. Well, I think it can be frustrated if it happened to me in a foreign country.

Thanks ;)
