I am interested in being a paid travel companion. Not now, but in a couple of years when I retire. I am female and would only want to be a travel companion to older women who have the resources to travel but do not want to go alone. I would want to be paid a fee plus have my expenses paid.
Does anyone have any advice or know how to make contacts for such a venture?

You want your travel expenses paid PLUS get paid to travel???
I have the feeling that is the dream of many of the 50,000 plus memebers here.......

I think you would need to get a job as 'Personal Assistant' to some or other millionaire. Doesn't seem easy, but who knows.

Another option is to get into contact with special needs travel agancies. If you have professional training as a nurse or similar and are willing to do long distance travel, they can take you on as personal aide to their travellers - all expenses taken care of through your work.

I have a distant relative who's a transsexual, now living in Berlin with her (his?) boyfriend and works as a companion to travellers who want company to bring them around to see the sights and all. But other than that I dunno much about what she does.

I think being a 'paid travel companion' is definitely possible, but there's more options if there's sleaziness involved....
