The instructions for Section 6 say:
>Fill in this section if you have answered 'Yes' to any of the eligibility questions on the online visa application form DS-160 that have not been fully explained in Sections 2 to 5 (my bold)
If you've explained fully in Section 2 you don't need to fill in Section 6 as well. But imo there's be no harm in filling in section 6 as well if you're worried.
>Also how recent does the ACRO certificate need to be before the interview date?
Within 6 months. See under 'Documents relating to your arrest, caution, conviction' on this page:

Thanks so much both of you extremely helpful!
Just couple questions if you are able to help
On the VCU01, I'm not sure exactly what section 6 is asking, when I would probably put in what I had for section 2?

Also how recent does the ACRO certificate need to be before the interview date?
Thank you again,
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but personally I'd advise requesting an SAR from ACRO too. I was asked for one at my interview, despite having two previous visas and not having had one requested in the past.
The SAR takes 30 days so is a longer wait than the police certificate. Mine has actually taken longer than this, as they emailed me after 21 days saying they needed more details of arrest and conviction(!). Surely that's what I'm asking them to confirm . So my request has taken longer than the 30 days, and i'm refreshing my emails every 15 mins

I agree with the advice above.
I've suggested the addition of SAR on many occasions but anon44's questions weren't really related so I didn't think to mention it.
Imo it's always worth applying for an SAR (free) as well as the Acro. If you don't need it, no problem...but if you do need it and you haven't got it it's a pain!
Sorry to hear about your SAR delay, Mustangmatt. I hope it arrives soon....
