Hi, I'm going to UK in late September, so I would like to know if there's any 'must-not-miss" sights or things to do in these places: Bath, Land's End, Cardiff, Swansea, Port Eynon, Colwyn Bay, Edinburgh.
Is that alot? Actually I havent heard much about these places, so am trying my luck here for some experts' advice. Thanx!

The obvious landmarks to visit in London would be Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, London Eye, Trafalgar Square and maybe Leicester Square. I would recommend a trip to Camden Town and Portobello Road on a Saturday. Just outside of London I would visit Windsor Castle. All depends really on what you want to see.

Edinburgh is just a nice city with a castle, watch out for men wearing skirts. Cardiff is okay too but watch out for the sheep :)

you could tack bristol onto the bath visit... a cool, funky city. good shops, good nightlife.

cornwall is great... porthleven is a great beach, st ives, mother iveys bay and constantine area.... newquay for cheesy stuff.

brighton would be a must visit place in my opinion. only an hour by train from london and very very cool. nice beach, great and quirky shops particularly in the laines. amazing nightlife, loads of bands and clubs. nice place so yeah, check it out!

in london... as someone said, i would go to camden. all the usual haunts, the bridges, tower, westminster etc and go on the london eye at night cos its cool as!

have fun here

joey :)

If you're the kind of traveller who likes a balanced view of the country and what its really like, you seriously do need to head up North. Different people and cities.

Places you could go might be: York (loads of history tons to see), Newcastle (reputedly some of best nightlife in Europe), and along the way definitly some of the gorgeous countryside, such as that in North Yorkshire, its got dramatic windswept moors with dry stone walls etc.

Thanx heaps for the advice, yah, York is also already in our itinerary, but I wasnt sure about whatta do in Land's End, Swansea, and Colwyn Bay. Just wanna check if there are anything which we may not know about.
Will be going to Isle of Skye too, and heard it's a serene place for some time-offs. Haha~
Will definitely check out Brighton... provided it's not chilly in late September?

Do not miss Bath - it was absolutely beautiful. I did a day tour from London - it took in Bath and Stonehenge - I know everyone just says it is a whole bunch of rocks but you have to go just to say you have seen it. But Bath is the cutest town ever, and the view as you go down the hill is like a fairyland. I fell in love.

Whilst in London, I also did a day trip to Stratford Upon Avon and Oxford. I wasn't too impressed - the best thing was Anne Hathaway's house (Shakespeare's wife), and the tour of Oxford wasn't what I expected.
