My girlfriend and traveling in India for two months (october/november)
Any thoughts, suggestions on the itinerary
Can I generally find double rooms (private hot water bath) for less than 450rs in the following cities
New Delhi/Agra - Bharatphur – Shekhawit – Bikaner – Jaislmer - Jodhpur - Bundi – Chittorgarti –Udaipur -Jaipur -Sasan Gir – Diu - Mumbai
in mumbai no way. Mumbai it is hard to find anywhere where they dont want to be paid in american dollars (even when u r not american) and u will be looking at about 50 bucks. there would be cheap places somewhere but u would need to ask a local. anyone from mumbai???
450Rs would be approx 10$, don't think that would be enough for a decent stay, u might get some.. but would be shabby.
For small towns in india u would need to double it, $20/night would be a safer bet on budget hotels...while in the metros (delhi, jaipur, mumbai) at least tripple it, $30.
Mumbai 50$ would be a budget hotel at the ideal location .. in the town centre..check this one..faces marine drive

And since u travelling with ur girlfriend i suggest you raise the 450rs budget.
Your itenary seems fine...u moving from delhi - rajasthan - gujrat - mumbai
just a word of caution october is going to be hottt..unless ur used to heat
