Hello you wonderful people!

Im going to live in Quito, Ecuador for about 6 - 7 months. Im so bloody exited to go there - but I do wonder a bit how my life is going to be living in Quito. So.... Do you guys know of stuff going on in Quito, like arty classes, yoga, different events and all sort of stuff really to get involved in? Im going to work for an amazing organization Volunteering Ecuador, but I guess sometimes it will be good to do take part in other events and classes aswell. Look foreward to hear from you all!!! :)

Lot love from Anne

Hey Anne,

I've just spent two months living in Quito and really enjoyed it. It's a beautiful (and HUGE) city but there's also a lot of polution and poverty and you should probably be prepared for that when you arrive. You also have to be very careful with your things as theft and bag slashing is very common. Having said that it's still a great city to spend a few months and perfect as a base to visit the rest of Ecuador from during your weekends. As far as things to do i would reccomend that you join South American Explorers Club and you'll be able to get all the informtaion you need about anything in Quito or Ecuador. It costs $50 but you get free internet, tea/coffee and a very cosy place to hang out... as well as information galore! They also have yoga on Tuesday nights that you can go along too. Otherwise i would definitely reccomend taking Salsa classes. It's a great way to keep fit and pretty hilarious too. I'm sure you'll absolutely love your time in Quito.

Have fun!
