Hello, my name is Herman Witkins from Agwata Kenya Safaris, a volunteer organization based in the heart of Kenya, Nairobi, whose main office is located in New Brunswick 239, New York, USA, and was registered in Kenya, 2002 under its business name ACT (Capp, 499, Section14) of the laws that govern the republic of Kenya, and secured a Certificate of Registration.

This certificate enables us to coordinate in placing volunteers in different fields such as marine and wildlife conservation, teaching and work related projects whilst not forgetting our exciting expeditions and excursions so we are not an NGO but a non profit making organization and we seek to improve the lives of many Kenyans and preserve the biodiversities available that are slowly degrading.
Our agenda is to provide assistance to conservation groups, community centers and poor schools in.

Conservation initiatives in different parks and reserves such as the famous Maasai Mara, the Amboselli National park, Ruma National park, Tsavo east and west National park.

Teaching conversational English to poor school children in Nairobi, Mombassa and Kisumu.

Self help projects and any other activities that require manual labor, research and monitoring.

Journalism in Nairobi, Mombassa and Kisumu.

We recruit volunteers from all walks of life, worldwide, thoroughly vetting them since we seek individuals that are for change and impact to our programs.

Our programs are open to all individuals. Eligibility does not require student or University status. Each applicant is considered by the information they provide on the application. If further information is required we will email to request this. . We also look further at your application as to skills and experience specifically related to the program you have applied to. We look at volunteer experiences, travel experience and also your particular interest in the program to make our decision. Our projects run for 1-3 months and the minimum time is 1 month for conservation, this is because of the general set –up involved that would not allow you to spend a lesser time in the parks than this.
