Hi,
I'm from London and I'm flying to Slovenia on a business trip. I've got almost everything arranged, and I've already booked my ticked, from Easy Jet, using the search engine of lessno.com. I'm 29 but I've never been in Ljubljana before, where I'll be throughout my stay..I will have very little spare time at my disposal, and I want to have a look around the city. So I was wondering if you could tell me of some fun places to go and maybe some historical sites to visit there.. and if you're local i'd be very grateful if you could suggest some trendy bars or night clubs to have a bit of the night life too.
Thanks in advance!
Places to visit in Ljubljana?
Hi Stevie,
There are many interesting places u can visit in Ljubljana and u don't really need much spare time to see a lot, because it's a relatively small town. I recommend the Ljubljana Castle and perhaps u can take a trip on a tourist boat. Try visiting this site:
http://www.ljubljana.si/en/tourism/tourist_services/guided_tours/
it'll help you make up your mind on where to go and what to do.
As far as the night clubs are concerned - the decision depends on what kind of music u like. If u're into dance music visit Fun factory but keep in mind that it's quite far from the city center. If u like R&B the most popular clubs are Baqus and Global.
Btw. I've also used www.lessno.com and I think it's a great site. It did a good job for me and it's very easy to use it. So, good choice
I hope this helped. And have fun here in Ljubljana
Definitely the Castle...also...there is a great place for Cevapcici! It is not that nice of a place to eat, but has the very best in the whole region and it comes with Samun!!!
It is in the underground shopping area just off the center.
Hello.
I might be late with a reply, but I'll post it anyway.
I have been there for a month during last winter.
I liked:
1. The Castle
2. The Old Market just by the Ljubljanica river during the morning and early afternoon
3. "Kod Macka" ("At Cats") caffe and Cutty Sark club (don't know how to give you directions, but as any local, they all know about these two)
4. www.cha.si
5. Gaudi cafe - in an alley near the Slon Hotel in the center
6. City Park shopping center
I hope you'll have a nice time over there.
