Hi mique!!!!!
I am glad you enjoyed so much Spain. Granada is wonderful isn't it??????
Actually you were lucky with the food and drinks... It doesnt happen all over Spain
, but yes in most places
This is what is actually called the "tapa", the piece of food that comes with the drink that you order. If you order a coffe, then no tapa... It is given out all over Andalucia, Madrid and all the south of Spain basically. Contrary on the north we aren't that lucky, as we have to pay for the food all the time, no tapa there. Anyway, spanish gastronomy is great everywhere you go... What can I say, I like eating, and I like my country!!!!!
Well, just wanted to say that I was very happy to read your comment, you made me laugh with your comments!!!!!! It's great you enjoyed so much!!! I wish everybody could enjoy life and life experiences as much as you do!!!!!
Keep on living!!!!
Yolanda

Hi Yolanda....I have a further question for you. While I was in a small village near Malaga, I ate some tiny, fried fish....Really small and thin (about 2-3cm) so not boquerones fritos. They were simply fried and served in a bowl with some lemon. Do you have any idea what it is called? Im desperate to eat it again

hi
when i lived in granada the work thing was kinda scarce. there's bar work and giving private english classes, but the latter was pretty saturated. i ended up moving to madrid to get work. at the end of the day, granada is just a wee town. i prefer cities ( at least madrid)

I wouldnt say Granada was so small...Its definitely got a city feel to it but its a city which is managable. Not too big, not too small....Place like Madrid and Barcelona are sprawling places, easier to get lost in. Another thing going for Granada, in my opinion, is that theres no bronx type areas which you should avoid unlike in the big cities anywhere else in Europe.
As for getting work...I also enquired about it when I was there and it seemed difficult. Like you Steve, was offered a little bar work but nothing major....Anyone looking for work should head for the coast...
