you can get to anywhere else in the country within an hour, shows at the NEC and then the near by history with ( Coventry & Warwickshire - Catherdral, Shakesphere shows round the corner from his birth place, Warwick Castle and lord knows how many drives through stunning countryside...
Channel Islands - yes! they are still part of the British Isles and overlooked. Good weather (in summer) great beaches (especially in Herm or Sark - off Guernsey) and good cheap beer
Fav has to be The Lake District... just stunning
beautiful. You have streams of lush landscape, proper English dinners around log fires and to die for views for you treking freeks.
