Travel Forums Europe World Cup Fever?

I'm spending the summer in England right now, and the "World Cup Fever", as they call it, is absolutely astonishing. I can't compare it to anything back in America... it's like the Superbowl, but about twenty times bigger! I've seen World Cup shirts, hats, flags, sunglasses, stickers, socks, underwear, bikinis, cologne, purses, cellphone holders, jewelry... you name it, they've got it!

If you're travelling right now or staying in another country, how is your country taking the World Cup?

Superbowl? What's that

Just kidding.. of course, the world cup is an amazing event. I have a hard time counting down the hours actually!!! There is a lot of attention for it here in Australia now that they've finally gotten in to the competition for the first time in 32 years :)

World Cup! Bring it on! Go Mexico! If they win I'll win a lot of mullahs in our office draw! Hehey...

And I just got an email from college that an Irish sports channel is looking for editors to edit World Cup highlights to be sent to mobile phones! Hihihi...

Exciting, innit... I think here in Ireland the excitement is raising, but since Ireland didn't qualify it's not as huge as it was during the European cup.
