Sorry to gripe :( I noticed today that my chosen travel page template is missing the navigation section of the page (which contains main page and subscribe links).

The code is there in the page source but I think because of the size of the image in the header or stylesheet positioning or such like it is hidden. I've not checked the exact problem, I'd rather not

Can you fix it please as I really like this styelsheet - the LOTR image is great for being in New Zealand ;)

Hi Phil, no problem at all (re. the griping I mean :) )

Uhm, I just checked and can see the Navigation part fine. I'm leaning towards this being a browser related issue. I'll even take a wild stab and guess you're viewing the blog using Internet Explorer (probably version 5/5.5?)? I'll check in a little bit on a PC with a few different versions installed and see if I can fix it.

It's looking fine using Firefox, Safari, IE for Mac and Opera by the way. I am guessing it's fine in IE6 too, so the problem will affect less than 1% of all users when all these browsers cooperate. Nevertheless, it should be fixed though, so I'll see what I can do ;)

Hi Phil,

Sorry for the delay, but I haven't had a chance to look at it behind a pc till now. The problem actually also affected IE 6 which is strange, but hey, that's microsoft for you :)

I've got a fix, but want to run it by the other guys before pushing it live automatically on everyone that has this template. If you want to make sure that your own blog is showing correctly, you can do the steps below and it should fix it:

1. Under your blog management area, go to 'Template', 'Edit your Template'
2. You'll see a bunch of code here. Just paste this line in there (for example under the line at the top that starts with: #navigation ):

* html #navigation{margin-top: -20px;margin-right:0px;ma\rgin-right: 20px;} /* IE hack to make sure navigation displays */

3. Hit 'Update Template' at the bottom and check if it fixed it (I just tested on ie5 and ie6 and it seems to do the trick, although it's less good looking than on firefox/safari/other modern browsers etc.).

Let me know if you have any questions!

ps. sometime next week we'll also probably make this fix for all templates, so if you want to wait till then, that's okay too!

You don't have to worry about the above fix anymore. There was a slightly better one and it's now live so no one should need the fix anymore :)
