I am probably not the first to ask but can anybody tell me at which agency i can book a Kilimanjaro trip? I search on internet and saw prices around ¢ 960.-. Also you give me suggestions about Tanzania? I want to go within 3 months for about 3 weeks travelling with my backpack alone.

Most likely Zara international is the cheapest and also of good repute.

I agree — I climbed Kili with Zara two years ago and they were great. They give you a choice of doing a 5-day ascent or a 7-day ascent (they add some extra time on for acclimatization). I would recommend that you do the 7-day if you can afford it as it will lessen your chances of getting altitude sickness and will therefore increase your chances of reaching the top.

Good luck. You're in for an adventure.

Zara is good but you need to give other people business too!!!.There are so many reliable company in Moshi and Arusha which organise safari up to Kilimanjaro.Find out one and recommend them after your trip. You can't give all the business to Zara.

Hi, I used Zara in 2002 and I would reccommend them, They were helpful, reliable and the food and equipment provided was of a high quality, but I also agree with papamukulu, tourists need to spread their custom, wherever you stay either in Moshi or Arusha you need to take a couple of days to acclimatise, so why not wait until you get there, have a look around talk to different companies and also people returning from the mountain and make your own decision based upon what they say and the feel you get. But whoever you go with you'll have a superb time, its a fantastic adventure! Enjoy! And the advice you'll get is to take it "Pole' Pole'" Slowly slowly, take heed!
